Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Mohammad Oumari (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use the Cutomi app for iPhone (the “App”) and this website. If you have questions, email mooumari2@gmail.com.

What stays on your iPhone

Cutomi has no accounts and no cloud storage. The following never leaves your device through the App:

• Your projects, and the photos, videos and audio you add to them.
• Text you type, captions, and the names of your projects and files.
• Voice-over recordings.
• Videos you export. They are saved to your photo library only when you choose to save them.

Auto captions use Apple’s on-device speech recognition. The App requires recognition to run on your iPhone, so your audio is not sent to us or to Apple’s servers.
Background removal runs on your iPhone using Apple’s built-in frameworks.

Permissions the App asks for

You can change any permission at any time in your iPhone’s Settings.

What we collect

Usage events (Firebase Analytics)

The App sends anonymous events about how it is used, for example that an export finished, which tool was opened, or how many captions were made. Events contain kinds, counts and rounded numbers only. They never contain your media, your text, project titles or file names. Google’s Firebase Analytics also records standard device information such as device model, iOS version, app version, language and an approximate country derived from your IP address, together with a random identifier for the App installation.

Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics)

If the App crashes or hits an unexpected error, a report is sent with technical details: the stack trace, device model, iOS version, free memory and disk, and a random installation identifier. Error details can occasionally include a file path on your device.

Subscriptions (Apple and RevenueCat)

Purchases are made and processed by Apple. We never see your payment details. We use RevenueCat to check whether your subscription is active. RevenueCat receives your App Store purchase receipt, a random app user identifier, and basic device and app information.

Fonts from a link

If you import a font by entering a web address, the App downloads that file directly from the address you entered. That website will see your IP address, as with any download.

This website

This website does not use cookies or analytics. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security.

What we don’t do

• We don’t sell or rent your information.
• We don’t show ads, and we don’t use the advertising identifier (IDFA).
• We don’t track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
• We don’t ask for your name, email or phone number in the App.

How we use information

We use the information above to keep the App working, find and fix crashes, understand which features are useful, and provide Cutomi Pro to subscribers. Our legal basis under the GDPR is our legitimate interest in running and improving the App, and, for subscriptions, performing our contract with you.

Service providers

These providers may process data in the United States and other countries, under their own safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

Analytics events are kept for up to 14 months. Crash reports are kept for up to 90 days. Subscription records are kept for as long as needed to provide Cutomi Pro and meet legal and tax obligations.

Your choices and rights

• Deleting the App removes all your projects and media stored by it.
• You can turn off permissions at any time in Settings.
• Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data, or object to its use. Because we don’t know who you are, the easiest way to exercise these rights is to email mooumari2@gmail.com and we will help.

Children

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

Data sent by the App to our service providers travels over encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we keep what we collect to a minimum.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be noted in the App’s release notes.
